COLOR ACCURACY:  every effort is made to provide accurate color representations of the fabrics (prints, solids, and terrycloth) used in Palettorium products.  However, there are a variety of factors that could affect color interpretation, including monitor differences and lighting.   Sometimes, enlarging the picture you are viewing or viewing the swatch on a larger monitor can help provide a more accurate representation of the color.  If you are looking for a specific hue to match something you already have, please contact Palettorium for a color swatch.

FABRIC FACTS

Palettorium currently uses premium 100% cotton pre-washed and pre-shrunk fabrics.  Based on feedback during the development phase, we have plans to expand into other types of fabrics.  Any updates on expanded product offerings will be posted on this site and all swatches will be clearly identified as to composition of the fabric.

Note that monitors and other factors can affect accurate visualization of colors.  Swatches can look cooler or warmer than they actually are.  The colors represented in the fabric choices on this site are reasonable approximations.  However, they should not be considered as absolutely corresponding with the actual fabric color(s).

The print fabrics are of different constructions, including digital printing and batiks.  The Kona Cotton solids are all yarn-dyed.  Yarn-dyed fabrics tend to be fade resistant and are optimal candidates for high-temperature sterilization.  The prints Palettorium has selected have been pre-tested for colorfastness.  However, some prints may show color creases over time.  However, all generally stand up well to high-temperature sterilization.  Batik fabrics are created using a wax pattern dye process, after which all wax is removed -- there can be natural variations in intensity between wax spots, which is a normal part of the batik dye process.

All Palettorium fabric has been pre-washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer before cutting in order to minimize post-manufacturing shrinkage.  These fabrics will generally hold up well to being washed in hot water for sterilization purposes.  However, they will last longer and maintain the sharpness of the image longer if they are washed in warm or even cold water.
